Genealogy Program

"The Program Collection"

Wallace State's extensive and growing collection of research materials includes books, periodicals, microfilm, microfiche, CD-ROM disks, computer programs, family folders and more. Some sources cover the entire United States. The collection is centered on Alabama, neighboring states, the Old South, Kentucky, the Civil War and Cherokee Indians. The program has access to the 2.5 million microfilm reel collection of records from the Genealogical Society of Utah.

The Wallace State Library is open year round to everyone except on holidays and special occassions.

Genealogy classes offered for credit through the History Department may be found in the current semester schedule of classes at www.wallacestate.edu/schedule.   Non-credit classes are periodically offered through the Wallace State Continuing Education Department. The current listing of continuing education classes is available at www.wallacestate.edu/ce.
